The family of Edward Bortey Sackey, a student of O’Reilly Senior High School tragically murdered by his schoolmate, has set October 18, 2024, for his funeral.

Enock Bortey Sackey, the distraught father of the deceased, shared this decision with Adom News, emphasizing that it reflects the family’s desire to honor Edward’s memory amidst ongoing legal proceedings.

Recent developments in the case, officially known as Republic Vs. Godwin Mawuli, have shed light on the judicial process following this heartbreaking incident.

Prosecutor Paul Osei Adjei announced that the duplicate docket has been sent to the Attorney-General’s office for further review.

This crucial step involves the docket passing through the Regional Office and Headquarters before reaching its final destination, a process that, due to its significance, has been prioritized.
