Awutu Senya East Assembly to Construct Experimental Basic School in Kasoa

The Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly in the Central Region has announced plans to construct an Experimental Full-Fledged Basic School in Kasoa, after successfully securing three acres of land from the Ghana Prisons Service (GPS).
The initiative, described as the first of its kind by any local government authority in the southern belt of Ghana, is expected to help address the declining standards of discipline and academic performance at the basic school level.

According to municipal authorities, the school project forms part of a broader strategy to strengthen the educational system and provide a model learning environment that will inspire excellence among pupils.

In addition to the basic school project, discussions are also underway for the allocation of extra land to establish a Technical Senior High School (SHS). This move, spearheaded by the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, Madam Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor, is intended to give young people in Kasoa and its surrounding communities more diverse pathways to education and skills development.
The Assembly says these educational interventions will not only improve access but also ensure that the municipality contributes meaningfully to national goals of improving quality education and training the next generation for future opportunities.
