Accident at Akrokerri junction kills one person and dozens injured

On the Obuasi Anwiankwanta highway in the Ashanti Region, an accident is believed to have left one person dead and another in severe condition.

On Monday night, an accident happened that harmed numerous more people.

It involved a Sprinter with the registration number AS 4808-22 and a tricycle with the local named Aboboyaa.

The tragedy happened a few minutes after the victims left Abu Musah’s store to fix their tricycle tyre, according to an eyewitness.

According to Musah, they parked the tricycle on the side of the road so they could organise the items they were hauling appropriately. Tragically, the Sprinter driver ran into them while attempting to pass a KIA vehicle.

The victims were taken to the hospital by some police officers who arrived on the scene.
