17 injured, 3 killed in a crash on N1 highway

Three people were killed in a tragic accident on Sunday at Water Works on the N1 highway in the Greater Accra Region. The accident involved a Sprinter Benz bus that was heading from Pokuase to Kasoa.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver experienced a tyre burst, which caused the bus to somersault multiple times before finally coming to a screeching halt.

Three people are thought to have died at the scene, according to Kweku Asiedu, a witness to the tragedy, and 17 other passengers suffered significant injuries. The precise number of fatalities has not yet been determined.

The Ablekuma North National Ambulance Service responded quickly to the injured people’s needs, and they were sent for medical attention to Akawe Hospital, Police Hospital, and Korle-bu Teaching Hospital.
