A career in the Royal Navy is now more accessible than ever if you are a citizen of the Commonwealth because you are no longer required to be a resident of the UK to apply.
There are a lot of positions that are currently open to Commonwealth applicants. You must be in possession of a current passport and meet the requirements for your desired position in order to apply. For international applicants, you must be at least 18 years old and in possession of a valid visa. You can apply as soon as you are 16 to live in the UK, but you will need a biometric residency card.
You must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council in order to apply to be a Nursing Rating or Nursing Officer. The General Medical Council must ensure that your primary medical qualification is recognized in the UK if you want to join as a Medical Officer and it was earned outside of the UK or EEA.
