Planning Committee for the National Education Forum Inaugurated by the Education Minister

Ghana’s education system is poised for a major transformation following the inauguration of the National Education Forum Planning Committee by the Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu.

This strategic move is aimed at enhancing the country’s education framework by bringing together key stakeholders and experts to drive long-term improvements across various sectors of education.

The eight-member committee, appointed by President John Dramani Mahama, will oversee the planning and organization of the highly anticipated National Education Forum. Chaired by Professor George K. T. Oduro, a renowned academic, the committee is made up of a distinguished group of educators and experts.

Among them are prominent figures such as Professor Goski Alabi, Professor Rosemary Bosu, Dr. Samuel Awuku, and Professor Smile Dzisi. Kofi Asare, Stephen Owusu, and Inusah Shiraz round off the diverse and knowledgeable team.

With a clear mandate to submit a comprehensive report and action plan within two weeks, the committee will focus on crafting strategies to improve Ghana’s education system.
