The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially named two Ghanaian referees, Bless Yao Selorm and Rejoice Addokwei, in its latest batch of FIFA-accredited officials selected for specialized training. This exciting development marks a significant milestone in Ghana’s growing presence in international football officiating.
The referees will participate in a high-level training program set to take place from February 23 to February 27 in Egypt. The program, carefully designed to enhance the referees’ skills, will focus on advanced officiating techniques, updates on the laws of the game, and practical sessions aimed at refining the participants’ on-field abilities.
In a statement, CAF emphasized that this specialized training is a step forward in enhancing the quality of officiating across CAF competitions. “This program will equip officials with the latest knowledge and techniques to better manage high-level football matches,” the statement read.
