GES Opens Applications for Confirmation and Promotion to Senior Superintendent I Rank

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially opened the application window for the confirmation and promotion of teachers to the rank of Senior Superintendent I for the 2025/2026 academic year.

In a circular dated 24th July 2025 and signed by Mrs. Veronica Tampour-Kuupol, District Director of Education for Central Gonja, qualified teachers within the service are encouraged to submit their applications for consideration before the deadline of 5th September 2025.

Confirmation Requirements

For teachers applying for confirmation:

  • The applicant must be a trained teacher.
  • The applicant must have served for at least one academic year.
  • The applicant must have a credible record within the Ghana Education Service.

Promotion to Senior Superintendent I

For promotion to the rank of Senior Superintendent I, the following criteria must be met:

  • The applicant must be a trained teacher.
  • The applicant must have served on the rank of Senior Superintendent II on or before 2022.
  • The applicant must have a credible service record in the GES.

Mode of Application

Interested and qualified applicants are required to submit:

All completed applications must be submitted to the District Education Office in Buipe no later than 5th September 2025.

Circuit supervisors across the Central Gonja District have also been copied in the directive, ensuring that eligible teachers in all circuits are reached and guided accordingly.

Teachers are advised to ensure the accuracy and completeness of their documents to avoid disqualification or processing delays.
