Education Minister in Jamaica to seal teacher exportation pact

Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Ghana’s Education Minister, recently headed a delegation to Jamaica to explore new educational collaborations between the two nations.

Invited by Jamaica’s Ministry of Education and Youth, the visit aimed to set up a framework for recruiting skilled Ghanaian teachers to support Jamaica’s expanding education sector in the Caribbean.

Dr. Adutwum emphasized that the discussions were focused on creating a partnership that ensures high standards of educational quality.

During their trip, the delegation visited several Jamaican schools, where they were impressed by the facilities and innovative teaching methods.

“These observations have provided valuable insights as we work to improve our education system in Ghana,” Dr. Adutwum remarked.

He highlighted that the visit has laid a solid foundation for a fruitful partnership, enhancing educational experiences for students and teachers in both countries.

Dr. Adutwum also expressed appreciation to the Jamaican government for their warm welcome and the productive nature of the visit.

The anticipated partnership aims to strengthen STEM education and improve educational practices in both Ghana and Jamaica.
