At the recent CAMFED National Annual General Meeting held in Tamale, Madam Angeline Murimirwa, the Chief Executive Officer of CAMFED International, emphasized the importance of fostering strong partnerships to enhance support for marginalized girls in Ghana. She highlighted the need for stakeholders to contribute to CAMFED’s girls’ education program, a key driver of social change and a critical foundation for national development.

Speaking on the theme “Advancing the CAMFED Guide Programme: Progress, Review, Key Learnings and Strategic Next Steps,” Madam Murimirwa underscored the value of collaborative efforts in empowering girls and young women to achieve secure livelihoods. The event brought together CAMFED Ghana, its partners, and champions to reflect on the year’s achievements, address key challenges, and strategize for the upcoming year.

Madam Murimirwa called for strategic alliances to address the unique challenges faced by marginalized girls and young women, particularly in rural communities. “We need to work collaboratively to create opportunities that align with our shared objectives,” she stated, stressing that partnership is essential to develop sustainable pathways for these girls to thrive.
