At Buduburam, a 27-year-old woman was lethally beaten to death

According to reports, a 27-year-old woman was fatally beaten at Buduburam in the Central Region’s Gomoa East District.

According to reports, the deceased, who has not yet been identified, was beaten to a pulp during a fight at “Gab” in the Liberian camp, a popular hiding place for suspected criminals.

Although the cause of the altercation is unknown, she is reported to have sustained serious ear damage as well as facial and neck bruises.

Following the event, Kofi Adjei of Adom News said that the woman was taken to St Gregory Hospital but passed away there.

To help with investigations, police have detained one person in the interim.

This comes after renewed call by the chiefs and people of Gomoa for the Liberian Camp to be demolished.

The Chief of Buduburam, Nana Kojo Essel II, lamented that the once peaceful area is now the headquarters of criminal activities.

The chief has, therefore, called on government to, as a matter of urgency, demolish the hub to save lives and property.
