Adentan Education Director exhorts teachers to keep doing their absolute best
Despite all of the accomplishments in recent years, Adentan Municipal Education Director Madam Gifty Mussey has challenged all of the municipality’s officers and instructors to step up their game.
She claimed that with the introduction of interschool quiz competitions, WAEC results, cultural competitions, best teacher awards, and officer elevations, education has significantly advanced in both the basic and senior high school levels.
In an effort to honour and inspire facilitators and officials everywhere to do more, Madam Mussey made these remarks during their inaugural Thanksgiving, Dinner, and Awards Night at Victory Presbyterian Church.
She stated that the foundation and selfless contributions made by their forebears, along with the efforts of the current staff and employees, were responsible for the achievement attained.
Despite their outstanding performance in competing against their peers on the district league table, the Municipal Education Director stated that their performance had declined, which is a concern they will need to solve in the coming years.
Ms. Rita Adjei from Bethel Presby Primary, Mr. Eric Nii Adjah from Ogbojo Presby 1 Basic school in the Adjringanor Circuit, Ms. Sandra Nambu from Holy Rosemary R/C Primary, and Charlotte Drogbefi from Mercy Islamic (JHS) in the Ashaley Botwe Circuit were the recipients of citations given to distinguished facilitators for their exceptional performance in their respective circuits.
The others were Ms. Mabel Bonsu Abban of Sowah Din 2 Primary and Janet Esi Essel of St. Francis Catholic Basic from the Nmai Dzorn Circuit, and Ms. Wendy Noi of Adentan Community KG and Ms. Patricia Abbao of New Legon AdMA Model from the Adentan Circuit.
Additionally, Mr. Iddi-Amin Fredouse, the Global Teacher of the Year runner-up, Ms. Stella Gyimah Larbi, the Global Teacher of the Year, and Mr. Mohammed Adamu Ramadan, the Member of Parliament for the Adentan constituency, received special accolades.

Over the years, a few private schools have also received recognition for their contributions to the directorate and education.
Among the educational institutions were Amazing Grace, St. Peter’s Mission, Divine International Academy, Pearl of Africa, and Galaxy International School.
Mr. Adumuah expressed his gratitude to the organisers for their acknowledgment and pledged to continue supporting the directorate.
Ms. Gifty Mussey received a citation from Ms. Gyimah Larbi, the Global Teacher of the Year and 2022 National Best Teacher, in recognition of her unwavering love and support for facilitators throughout the Assembly.
