17-year-old BECE graduate stabbed to death in Trede
In the Atwima Kwanwoma District’s Trede town, a 17-year-old graduate for the recently ended Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), Daniel Fosuhene, was fatally stabbed while trying to break up a brawl between two lovers.
A furious fight between a couple who lived in the same house startled Master Fosuhene, a senior at Konkori D/A Junior High School, as he was sleeping in his room.
A physical altercation had broken out due to accusations of infidelity. The incident happened on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at approximately 11 p.m.
In an attempt to defuse the situation, Madam Esther Akyaa, the mother of the deceased, told Class FM’s Ashanti Regional Correspondent, Elisha Adarkwah, about her son’s intervention in the couple’s argument.

During the struggle, the boyfriend, in a fit of rage, drew a knife and stabbed Master Fosuhene in the chest.
He was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The suspect has been apprehended by the police but mother of the deceased, is now appealing to the authorities for a swift and thorough investigation to ensure justice for her son.
“I want the police to expedite their investigation so that justice can be served for my late son,” mother of the deceased pleaded.
